Why the Blog has Grown Silent

Mostly it’s due to the fact I’m usually busy working or relaxing. I am a full time affiliate marketer, so I work on campaigns quite often. This takes a lot of time to test, split test, make sure it’s profitable, finding traffic sources, etc. It’s just time consuming. I do try to keep myself away from work on the weekends but a lot of the time I still work even then.

I was going to launch a new blog that focuses completely on making money online, but really I don’t think I have time for it. So, if I feel like I have time to blog about it in the future — I’ll launch it, but as of right now it’s not going to happen. I don’t intend to be JohnChow or Shoemoney, and probably not ppc.bz. (the only real affiliate marketing blog I’ve found..) It’ll be my own style if I decide to go down that route.

I’ll continue to blog about tech on here when I get the chance or I get a new device :)

BestCovery.com Expert

Unrelated Note

Anyway I know I have been going off on a lot of affiliate stuff lately, but remember the title of this blog is Technology Insanity, the insanity part meaning that I may go off on who knows what.

Not long ago I was contacted by BestCovery.com to become an expert on their website. I accepted their offer and have completed one list so far. The site itself is very cool. If you’re looking for a product, they have “best” lists already set up, by people like me that know a lot about the subject. I browsed through a lot of their lists before accepting the offer, and a lot of them are very good. So, if you want to buy something and aren’t in the mood to do a lot of research BestCovery is a very good option. Right now my only list is the “Best Processor for Overclocking.”

I’ll be working on another list for them tonight. I also might be working with GadgetReview.com posting news or reviewing some products. We’ll see how that goes. I’m going to get back on track with this site and work on some possible reviews/tutorials soon. I have a tendency to really go in every which way on this site and not sticking to a specific niche, that would allow this site to grow more. Mostly because I post about what I’m currently doing, and not sticking to any particular topic.

Anyway, expect more technology/computer/internet related posts here soon. :)

Some Site Updates and Announcements

I like to get comments on my blog, and my search engine traffic really doesn’t seem to do that for me, so I will be going back to Entrecard and dropping 300 a day again. Entrecard users, it might be a good time to buy my ad, before it goes sky high as I see it’s sitting at 64ec right now :) Also, please join the forums if you can, having only a few members makes us all lonely :(

I have been BUSY

Sorry Entrecard and everyone else.. I’ve just been so busy I haven’t even had time to drop. So many things went wrong on my VPS.. So many things I needed to learn, and yet I’m still learning. I must be really rusty with Linux or I’m too used to having a GUI. I think it’s both. Kind of rusty, and really not used to not having a GUI for Linux. Also, the crashing really had nothing to do with the memory on the VPS. Apache just needs to be configured correctly.

I had another problem with my mail on the VPS and I’m sorting that right now – so don’t e-mail admin at technologyinsanity dot com just yet, it’s not working. Instead, e-mail me at admin at s0uthp4rk dot com as it’s still on my old host.

I would be lying if I said I wasn’t having fun playing with my VPS though. It’s great fun. Yea, I’m weird like that.

Normal dropping will continue once I’m sure things are going well on this server. I will probably drop today though after I get some sleep. :)

I think webalizer is screwed up it said I got almost 500 visits today – that can’t be right, can it?

e-mail is up.. I guess I’m done? Maybe apache could use a little more tweaking I dunno :) I don’t know who was advertising on me yesterday but I’m willing to give 256EC to that person, because it was NOT a good day :) I also went through and tweaked MySQL, and well I have plenty of memory now :) Only using about 37MB/128MB memory for everything! You could probably grab hosting from me now, don’t see why not. So long as you don’t get more than a few thousand hits a day should be fine I would guess.

I would recommend RapidXen for your VPS needs.
