The value, I think, is not so much in the data itself. As you said, a person with an Excel spreadsheet and some time on his hands can do the same thing even better. For me, it's a question of speed. Anything you can do to get the velocity going is great in my book. So I don't even use everything that is included. But I find my keywords using other tools, and get the search data and optimized competition numbers from MS. Very good. I’m a fan of Market Samurai too.
