I’m not sure what HD TV I want but a lot of my Dish co-workers are recommending I get an LG model. I have read a lot of reviews on the LG 42LM6200 42 Inch and the LG 47LM7600 47 Inch. I want a big TV so I am leaning more towards the 47 inch. I really like the features each TV has and I think whatever one I choose my HD channels from Dish will look amazing on them.

Hi,

I'm doing well. Things got much better around the 5th month. This is my 6th month and it's *mostly* gone. However, I still get a little dizzy here and there with certain activities, it's not such a big deal anymore, and doesn't prevent me from doing anything like it used to.

Well, if you read my usenet tutorial http://technologyinsanity.com/internet/what-is-usenet-downloading-from-binary-newsgroups/

You see I recommend you use NZB sites like NZBMatrix, NZBsRus etc.. this pretty much fixes the problems you're talking about. These sites are very similar to torrent indexers.

I've already tried Usenet, and in fact the wealth of content there is amazing. But I did find some "hassle" in the Usenet world, like files with some missing part, bogus files
(imagine download a file worth a lot of Gigabytes, only to find it was not what you were expecting at all), lack of overall information on the filenames (quality, bitrate, codecs, etc.), etc.
At least, the bittorrent indexers are a bit more organized and offer better information about the files I'm about to download. My current seedbox service costs 3 Euros per month (it's cheaper than most Seedbox services I've searched for), the server downloads the torrent within minutes if it's a well-seeded torrent, or some hours in the more obscure ones. I have not any issues with ratio, because I can reach the a ratio highter than 1.000 before actually finishing the download. As a matter of fact, as I usually don't have to clear my active torrent list so fast, I let the ratio go up to more than 10.000 most of the time.

Overall, I think seedboxes are more easier to use than Usenet. Sorry if I missed some good aspect of Usenet. =)

Hey, Astraweb does have it's issues, as does Giganews, Highwinds, and Readnews. This is why I always say to have plenty of fill servers. If you look at the boards there are tons of people that are happy with astraweb and some that aren't. This still doesn't negate the fact that more people use astraweb than anything else, and there's a reason for that. This is the way it goes with all servers, really. Having highwinds or usenetserver as your primary usenet provider isn't bad at all. Just combine it with astraweb or usenet-news blocks.

As far as general completion goes, astraweb has tons more in certain content areas. I recommend people use a Highwinds & Astraweb combo or Readnews.

Yes, I have used astraweb. I've used Readnews, and I've used Highwinds. All have their issues, all need fill servers. Without a fill server I recommend NGroups as your "only" host. If you use fills then Astraweb is great as it will pull MOST of the post. The one thing to note is that if you have 50 or 100mbit astraweb might not be the best choice as your primary server, you might be better off with highwinds, because in general they are faster. Still, it's a good idea to pick up a fill from astraweb.

My current combo is actually Highwinds, Readnews, and Astraweb. Gives me about 100% completion on pretty much everything on usenet.

I have used Usenetserver for many years now with Astraweb as a backfill. I am dropping Astraweb as soon as my month is over because lately it has sucked ass. terrible completion and slow as a snail. Have you even used it?
